Visio 2010 Level 1 Training

Visio 2010This series of Tutorial videos covers the basics of Visio 2010. Introducing the level is a presentation that gives an overview of the new Visio 2010 features; it is followed by a set of tutorials that give simple examples of the new interface features and show users how to navigate it.

The Visio 2010 Interface

The Fluent interface is common to all Microsoft Office 2010 programs, including Visio 2010, and although it is easy to navigate many people switching to Visio 2010 for the first time find the interface confusing.

[br]For this reason we have included a number of Visio 2010 tutorials that focus on the interface in this series, but we also include a couple of Getting Started videos to get you up and running as quickly as possible.

TIP: When using Visio 2010 for the first time, take a few minutes to look through the new File menu. This now opens an area called “Backstage View” that includes many of the features found elsewhere in earlier versions. It is also where the “Options” link is now found, so is you want to update your Visio 2010 preferences, this is where you need to go.
