In this next video in the Getting Started series we look at the Visio interface. For anyone already familiar with other Microsoft desktop applications, like Word or Excel, the menus and toolbars of this version will seem familiar. There are a few additional menu items and toolbar buttons which we explain, but overall the interface is fairly intuitive and new users will be able to get up to speed in Visio very quickly.
Unlike some other Office 2007 applications the Ribbon does not feature in this version of Visio (although it does in Visio 2010), but we take a look at the available shapes and stencils, and examine the Visio window and it’s component panes, and explore the basic methods of finding your way around.
